Arrived at the NF parking lot and someone beat me there. Tried to be nice and ask him his plans but he was pretty tight lipped. So, I hiked my but off to go far away from the direction he headed off in. I'm sweated wet now and kicking myself because I'm pretty sure he just shot in a place near the truck that I hadn't planned on hunting in the first place.
On the positive side I'd like to get back down to 220ish for bikini season and other people pay money for what I got for free.

Had one at 20 steps that started in one spot behind a cluster of trees strutting and gobbling like crazy and then...he putted and took off like a pheasant. Juuuuuust about shot him out of the air . It's comical at this point...

I found the ultimate deer bedding spot. I kid you not, 18 balloons in a 30 yard area (You know the turkey hunting is bad when you go back to count balloons).
Any balloon theory guys can PM for the secret location.
Side note: I didn't realize that trucks were allowed on NF trails if they come off private property. Makes no sense that I can't ride an ebike back here but a guy can drive a toyota 2 miles back. Looks like an off-road park back here...so much for scouting a new area.
