What would be a rough cost per sq foot to construct a metal building? Any contacts for central Alabama would be helpful if you didn’t mind sharing. Thank you

Not sure if this helps but I just priced a concrete pad for a new warehouse (50x100, 8” pour) and it’s gonna be close to $50k. That includes some pretty deep footers though and 1 6x6x6’ footer for a jib hoist.

I haven’t priced the building yet though. I’m thinking it would be better to buy the building kit from the manufacture and contract out the labor to erect.

The bigger you go the less it will be per sq ft. A 30x30 will be a lot more per foot than a 40x60

First, off are you talking tube steel or red iron? Big difference in cost and you need to determine your need. Mine was just for a shop and tube steel was just fine. A 24x36 with two ten foot doors and a single walk door cost me $7500 in 2016. It was built on a slab that cost me $3500.

I just priced the same thing again on Max Steel Buildings and the price is $13,470. And I know concrete has gone up. Hope that helps some

I just put deposit on a 26x20 with a 12’x26’ lean-to, 12’ walls, fully insulated with a 10’x10’ roll up, man door and window @13k tax, delivered and constructed. By my estimate I’ll be at about 22$ Sq/ft with concrete.

160x80 with 6 in slab. 2 12ft wide roll up motorized doors. 2 walk-in doors 14 tall at the sides $194000.00

I was ready to pull the trigger on a red iron building about a year and a half ago but couldn’t find anyone to erect it that wasn’t backlogged a year and a half or so ago.

Just make sure you have someone that can erect it before you buy it.

Tube steel isn’t a problem getting assembled but red iron is a totally different story.
