You might think it is crazy, but I have a jacket that I wear that I had the right sleeve cut off at the elbow and elastic sewn in. Keeps from having to wear an arm guard.
Plenty of hot pockets. Adhesive ones placed on kidneys and near heart. Place one inside of RedHead gloves. Can't stand thick heavy gloves bow hunting. Toe warmers never work.

Define cold.
This is what does the trick for me even in the minus degree weather.
Base Layers- Under Armour top and bottom then a pair of merino wool long underware over that
Mid layer- Arctic weight Polar fleece pants and pull over top 1/4 zipper (open and close to regulate the heat as needed.
Outter layer- Cabelas bibbs and parka
Feet- Wool socks and boots that are a size or two big (even with the socks on) to allow for dead air space.
Hands- Thin Under Armour gloves
The key piece of gear that keeps me warm are the Hot Hands. I use the adhesive backed ones for the legs, one on each thigh. I have two fleece pouches that I pin to the inside of my parka in the lower back area (makes it nice to lean back into the tree). Two go the hand pockets of the parka and I hold these in my pockets when my hands get cold. Toe warmers are a waste and just make your feet sweat which will cut your hunt short.

I hunted in it all day yesterday and this is what I did: Base layer- longjohns w/ wool socks Next layer- flannel shirt and blue jeans Final layer- insulated pants and a fleece jacket Wore a tobog, gloves and my 800 thinsulate Lacrosse burlys. Granted it was cold but not to the point where I felt like I needed to leave. I drew back on some deer early in the morning and had no issues.
