I agree and it certainly will not make or break me but you've got to take a step back and look at the fact that the $1200 that I'm not going to get, in our current Biden times, would buy one of the following selections: a full tank of gas in my truck, a couple good ribeyes, two sheets of plywood, 4-5 2x6's, or if it was available, a full box of bullets for my deer rifle that got lost in that boating accident. $1200 dont go as far as it used to for sure. Unfortunately, I think what we are currently seeing price wise is just the tip of the iceberg.

It should be based on your avg federal tax liability for the past 3 yrs. The more you had to pay, the more you get. If you didnt pay anything in, you dont get anything. Otherwise, it is just pure socialism and a redistribution of wealth which is in direct contradiction to everything this country was founded on. Taking from the "makers" and giving to the "takers".

It's the exact opposite of this though.

Those who pay the most, get nothing. Those that pay the least, continue to live off the future successes of those children who aren't successful yet and some of which still haven't been born. Or at that point, maybe America will be dissolved. This experiment may be ending.

I see , so people like me would not get a dime. So you know , I have paid my share of taxes since I was 16 and until 2 years ago . I'm 61 now

No , you should be complaining about the tax rate. Not against the help some people really need

They are turning us into a 3rd world country. $75k was middle class salary in the 1980's and many did it on a single income household.

There is NO middle class today. White/Blue Collar has nothing to do with it. Today it takes 2 making $75 to achieve the same standard of living 1 worker in the house once achieved.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

And all this time I thought I was part of the "Middle Class"..... I'd be happy if the wife and I combined made over $75k...
I guess I'm doing better than most other "Poor" folks

I'm not trying to sound callous or be rude in anyway but answer these questions and think about what I'm writing. So were you in any way impacted by Covid? If you were retired and not working, you certainly didnt get laid off or incur any additional expenses related to having employees or running a business, correct? Did the amount of your retirement that you draw every month or the amount of your SS check change? If it didnt, and you didnt incur any additional expenses, why should you get anything extra? Sure it may help you, but you're not owed a dime by the federal govt. Nobody is. Not you, not me, not anyone else. That attitude right there is why we have Joe Biden as president and a democratic senate and house. While I'm sure you probably didnt, millions of people voted for this bunch of socialists expressly because they promised them free money. Hell, I cant find enough people willing to work. They are making more sitting at home collecting the "juiced up" extended and increased Covid unemployment, than they would make working. "nah, man, I cant work right now, I'm making $800 a week to stay at home and watch TV, hunt and fish, why would I want to go to work for you to make $1,000 a week busting my butt and swinging a hammer". You see, therein lies the real problem with all this stimulus crap. "When the voting public realizes that they can vote to give themselves a raise...our constitutional republic is over" We've reached that point.

This stimulus is doing exactly what it was intended to do...pit us against each other. They've divided us thru political affiliation, sex, race and now class. We are being played by the swamp 100%.

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

I was laid off 3 weeks (covid) and still made more this year than I ever have. I worked 7 days last week (3 8’s, 3 12’s and a 16)
I’d be happier if there was NO stimulus or just maybe helping businesses keeping people employed, BUT since they’re handing out my money, I’d like some of it back....
Us/we working folks are who they SHOULD be helping. NO, they’d rather give somebody 6-700.00 a week to sit at home on their ass, but I make too much money and don’t deserve any help. bulldoodoo

There is a lot of truth to this statement.

I don’t think any of us voted for Biden or wrote a letter asking for a stimulus payment. Just as the communists said 50 years ago we will be destroyed from within

Joe Biden got those 2 socialist senators elected in Georgia with this promise for $2000 checks going out the door immediately. I'm still waiting on mine. Seems like buying votes to me.
