I cancelled their asses over a year ago because they quit negotiating with me. I went with youtube tv and am 100% glad to of made the move. If you have super fast internet, go with Youtube Tv. You can also use it on the go with whatever cell phone or tablet you may have.
Call and Cancel DirectTv is my advice. Do you get local news and ball games? Yes. You enter what ever zip code you live in and get all the local channels. Along with all of the ESPN's, Fox Sports, SEC Network, BigTen and ACC network. I haven't missed a single ball game since switching...and have probably been able to keep up even better because I can log onto it from any cell phone or computer, too.
