Something to consider, you might have better luck expanding what you want and just dropping a run of the mill 308 or 243 700 into a Magpul stock.

You might be able to find the rifle and then just purchase a magpul stock

You might be able to find the rifle and then just purchase a magpul stock That’s a good point. I’m going to check out the local stores and see what’s out there. I’ve got a nice barrel that is going to be put on a rem 700 action. Gunsmith said the magpul edition would be ideal, or a virgin receiver/bolt with the 308 family bolt face. He also said a donor rifle in decent shape would work. If anybody has a rem 700 action they’d like to part with let me know.
