Got to refuge on 67 and was a wreck at 645 and got the call to go back home that we shut down til Wednesday. Roads didn’t seem bad but I bet this evening I wouldn’t have made it back up the mountain

Just took wife in an errand. Will not be doing that again until it gets better. Icy roads is an understatement. That F250 don’t like ice, sliding just trying to go straight, coasting and we were sliding back and forth. Sirens buzzing thru town as I’m typing this

Colbert Co just posted impassable road advisory except for emergency vehicles.

Yep. I haven't seen too many vehicles that operate on ice good.

This is a different one for sure. I normally get colder and will get a little snow on and off here on east side of Burleson Mtn. Not today though. Just rain. The ice that was on the trees from yesterday is melting. The line is close to here but so far nothing to speak of of.

Crazy how much the weather can change in Alabama.
It’s 65F just south of Dothan.

Got a lil snow in the early hours of the morning, but just sleet here, since. Gonna be BAD slick if we get a warm rain followed by returning teen temps predicted Wed/Thurs!

. That is going to depend on what time you're leaving and how you're hitting Montgomery. Montgomery, we're going to be down to 23 tonight, so it will be rough until about 7-8, I don't think Atlanta is supposed to even get below freezing.

The model runs are having a tough time with this one. Seems like its going to be a touch worse than anticipated here in alabama. I bet birmingham is going to be a mess from about 8:00pm till at least wednesday morning. Not supposed to be above freezing.

Just made it to work In Huntsville from Cullman. It’s just wet now but looks like I might be sleeping at work tonight. No wrecks.

This morning saw 1/2 dozen wrecks on 565 headed east into hsv. Ice on a few bridges none on the road. Came home at lunch it had all melted. Starting to freeze pretty good on the trees, starting to inch it's way down to the ground.

Made it bade from Huntsville. Tthey had crews salting the bridges and overpasses from Vinemont north. I didn’t experience Ice on 65 but the bridges over creeks on 565 were a little icy and there were a few people who lost control. I didn’t see any major accident though.

It really didn’t unfold like they said it would from Decatur to the East.

Just drove from Google, in Bridgeport, to Scottsboro and back to get some clothes and overnight supplies because they are having essential staffing only. I'll be locked in until Wed. sometime.....the roads were barely even wet in most of the areas between here and there. I'm hoping when we wake up and look outside tomorrow they decide to undo the call for essential staffing only.

They weren't far off though. I few degrees or raining being a little sooner/later would've made the difference.
