No problems that I saw coming into Birmingham on 65 south. Looks bad west and north I’ve got an appointment near Mercedes tomorrow, I’m thinking I’ll probably end up canceling. I’m better off at home than stuck on a stopped freeway or worse off in a ditch.

I drove from Scottsboro, down Hwy 72, to Bridgeport this morning. No issues along the way. Roads are wet, but no ice at the time.

Huntsville wet road as of 7:00 AM. raining and 31 degrees. We have crews on Monte Sano Mt. Saying ice building on the trees and lines.

Went from the Honeycomb area to Moores Mill and back this morning. Roads wet and 32-34 degrees according to my truck. No ice or slush seen. Tomorrow is going to be a different story if it gets into the teens tonight.

Im in the hoise for the day! At 5:30 this morning the roads here in Leighton were a solid sheet of ice. You couldnt see the ice, but it was there. There was not a car on the road and still isnt. I just got through feeding and it started raining/sleeting. It only took 5 minutes and my truck was a solid sheet of ice. I left it running for about 20 minutes when I got it in the garage and it was pretty much all off it. Roads are solid ice, but so far the trees arent building up with ice. There is NO traffic on the roads today. Dangerous as a cocked pistol for sure around here and about to get worse.

The trees and fences here on the Cullman Morgan Iine have been ice for 2 days. The roads are fine. I can go 4 miles up the road and there is no ice on anything. Its been that way both days. We got a little rain this morning but it just layered more ice on the trees. The house roofs, roads and ground are wet. I have four pecan trees in the yard that sound like they are cracking but its just the ice and not the wood. Whatever we get will be bad for this little area.

That is hard to even believe! we arent 45 minutes apart and it is a train wreck here. All of the windows on the North side of my house are solid ice and you cant see anything out of them. I just heard all kind of sirens and fire trucks head out traveling South. I hope all is well. A buddy of mine just sent a text telling me to get where I wanted to stay for a few days by 12:00. Any reports on how the road conditions will be from Montgomery to Atlanta in the morning? I’m coming up from Florida but can go down I-10 to Jacksonville, Fl and head North. I’m going to SE North Carolina.
