Went to the processor to pick up my last deer Friday. He had a couple buddies up front cooking up some they had caught Wednesday. Hushpuppies too. Was mighty fine.

Good fish I fish mostly roseberry and northwards. I don’t catch 5 white crappie a year. Do you catch a lot of white ones?

Good fish I fish mostly roseberry and northwards. I don’t catch 5 white crappie a year. Do you catch a lot of white ones? I do catch quite a few white ones every year. I fish the same water you do. One thing I've learned is they hang out in totally different places structure wise.

I agree years ago I was told the blacks would take over when the milfoil got started.And they have. We fished the crappie USA tournament about 3 years ago when you weighed in at Stevenson park we culled through probably 75 fish. Actually had a good day and was eager to go weigh in. Them big ranger boats trolling 8 rods hurt our feelings LOL. They brought in more white crappie than I have seen in years. Our average fish was over a pound and a half and we were still like 7th place

Around 1980 we fished one were you weighed in at guntersville. 20 fish back then as opposed to 7 now. Best I remember 22 pounds won. We had black ones caught near goose pond and that’s wheHarry Stressel or whatever his name was told me that the black ones would eventually take over as the grass spreads. The biologists that was there told the sure fire way to tell the difference. But 99 times out of 100 I always thought you could tell by looking at them
