The 2.7 may be what i need then. Only thing i'll be towing is a tr196 or golf cart/utv. Yall really have me thinking now. I was pretty set on the 5.0...

I have same truck with around 3300 miles on it. Bought new in mid September and one two different occassions I have had crazy electrical issues. Once I had no power windows, locks, windshield wipers, radio, etc and after turning truck off and back on it went in to limp mode and check engine light came on. I left the truck off for a couple hours and it reset. A few weeks ago I drove around town one Friday night with no radio because it wouldnt work no matter what I tried. It began working normal again that Saturday and been fine since. Other than those two issue I love the amount of room the truck has. The 10spd tranny takes some getting used to.

Have you taken yours back for the recall on the back-up camera yet? I haven't and was just wondering what all was involved and how long to expect it to take.

I like displacement in a truck. With that being said my wife drives an Aviator with the twin turbo V6 and it’s a MONSTER. Stupid amount of torque and HP (400)

I have not. 3 other guys on my street have bought 20 model f150s in the last couple of months and one has had his camera replaced. He actually told me that just yesterday but didnt say anything about how long in took. I dont guess I knew there was a recall.

I must be missing something, 2.7, 3.5, in a truck you plan on hauling stuff with does not sound kosher. Get the biggest engine they put in the thing. The biggest gas burner or the biggest diesel if you want one, this is a truck not a compact car.

I have a 2014 F150 4x4 with the 3.5 ecoboost. It is absolutely amazing at the power it has. I do some mixed city and hwy driving and get about 16mpg average. I was hauling an 18, car trailer with a 3800 car on it and really could not tell it was back there. And I'm not talking about just open interstate roads. I averaged 14mpg doing this. I have not driven a truck with the 2.7 but if I was just gonna haul an ATV/lawnmower or something small. I'd dang sure be looking at one

You obviously haven't driven one. The "No replacement for displacement" moto.... yeah Turbos... two of them as a matter of fact

You don't even realize that 20' bass boat is behind my 2013 with the 3.5 in it. It pulls stupid good.

2018 crew cab 4wd with the 5.0. No complaints so far, plenty of power. I drove all three and talked to some Ford mechanics - all said any of the engines were reliable. As others have said, the 10 speed takes some getting used to.

If made money towing, I'd get a 3/4 ton, but I just tow toys for fun.

I'll be getting a 3.5. Over 400# torque at 2500 rpm matches some diesels.

Oh and the 5.0 actually sounds good running compared to the V-6's but I am old school.

I’ll 2nd that. Friend of mine has a newer raptor with the 3.5 and I poke fun at him about it sounding like a teenager’s scion with a can muffler on it. It may run strong but sounds pitiful doing it.

That is why an engine built for a compact car should not be in a truck.

Ok, thanks for the input. Btw, you ever figure out if that green or red sight was spooking your pigs?
