We was cleaning a deer out there last week and a manager came up there and made a smart @$$ comment about the buck and then got to talking about bird watchers coming in and wanting us to hurry up and dispose of it quicky.

OH i did it was a 6 point had 4 on one side and 2 on the other and his comment was Well its barley leagal. Oh made me and my buddy pissed. I kindly told him if the deer had more to eat than pine bark he might been a lil bit bigger but i told him i was glad all the trees were cut down so the dag-gum bird watchers did have anything obstructing their view. But what do i know im just a hunter i dont get paid to be the refuge biologist

i by no means want to know exact spots or anything... but what have you guys had the best luck at hunting..... on the ground.... hunting the strips of woods.... kennedy and molnar???

i would just like to be able to see a few deer and have a nice thanksgiving weekend hunt

I've been hunting on the main unit around the creeks, where the fields and cut wood lines are about 50 to 70 yrds wide catchin them travel on the edges. Alot of deer bedding up in the growed up fields.

I see no real problem with the cutting. My prpblem is replanting pines.Some chunks should have been left to grow as clearcuts.Thats the only eway to provide the food the deer need.
While some land on the BAMA side is leased to farmers,its been several yrs since any was leased on the Ga side.Its just big setaside fields.
