I don't think Weogufka belongs in your list. It's a Creek Indian name and you can find it mentioned in many of the old books from the 17th and 18th centuries. I've seen more references to the creek than the village.

Fish Pond is not too far away and it is also on the early maps, but it was a name that the early English traders came up with. I have wondered what sort of "pond" it referenced. I suspect it was just a wide place in Elkatchee creek, but maybe there really was some sort of pond there.
