Finishing my deer season at my family's property. Haven't hunted here since gun opener. What are the deer doing in the area? Any rut activity? I'm in Eclectic Alabama hunting

Well they have enough food out to maybe get them out in the daylight eating to build back up from the rut run down

I hunt near Tallassee, and I haven't seen a freshened scrape in about a week. My son shot a great buck yesterday morning solo in a food plot refueling and recouperating. Two smaller bucks were caught sparring on cam last wed night, but havent seen any other ruttish action.
You gonna pull them pistols, or whistle Dixie?

I hunt in Macon County by Tallassee and our action has been spotty at best.

Shot a would be 7 or 8 point at 930am this morning walked around to my ladderstand and he was standing in the road eating corn 220 yards away. Just knelt down and got on him the best I could and let it fly. He was busted up and broken on both sides. Something had kicked his butt for sure lol
