Turkeys gobbling again. Palifira of does. Nice 8. Had a couple does pop out and kept watching their back trail. Binoculars up and see him coming through the woods. Get ready...... broke left side. Bummer. Oh well. Gonna stay awhile.

Sitting where I saw a couple of bucks chasing yesterday afternoon. I have had a couple of does pass through so far this morning.

In Escambia co near Huxford . Sitting in a shooting house on the ground watching a picked corn field surrounded by timber . Ran 3-4 out as I parked and started to walk in and had a deer cross the field before shooting light . Tail out and head down , pretty sure a buck . Phone says 31 in Atmore ; big frost this morning. It ought to be happening! Disgusted I couldn’t see that deer better . Barely saw it with my binoculars and never but movement in my scope . Maybe him or it’s big brother will come back . The big boys should be on their feet this morning. Nice and cold. I've seen two small racked bucks hit on the side of the road on Hwy 21 recently, north of I65. One was near Frosty Acres, just north of you.

Sat for a little while this morning. Had a doe come busting out of the pines tail half cocked like she had just been bred and she just stood there looking back behind her. I caught movement coming through the pines behind her so I went ahead and got the gun up ready to take the big boy. And out steps a dang spike. That chased her all over the place. Almost shot him just because it pissed me off.

My son sat this morning out and of course a good 8 shows at 7:40 - we back after it on a greenfield this afternoon where a bunch of deer have been congregating. The wind is not doing what the weather says it’s supposed to be though.
