TBI has been called out to investigate two deaths at Reelfoot Lake. I saw on Facebook that they’re looking at a double murder.

Just heard that from friend that hunts there...nuts!

Yep. Apparently someone pulled up, 3 guys were in a blind, they argued, he killed 2 of them.

Don't know anything about the lake. Is that public hunting land?

It is public hunting. But from what I gathered they were hunting a private blind. But if no one is in private blind by a certain time then it’s fair game.

Everything I hear about duck hunting on public land/water makes me never want to attempt it. Slashed tires, keyed cars, apparently getting murdered ....

Walnut Log area on Reelfoot lake. Not the first person to be shot over a duck blind. Farmer I hunt with in area always told us to be careful in that part of lake.

Son just told me it was over shooting swing ducks. 2 killed worked at final flight (reported) and shooter was possibly from martin (where my son is in school).

That is crazy all for a duck, but it’s really crazy because I’m leaving in the morning for a duck hunt on that lake.

The Tennessee hunting pages are saying that they were murdered over a blind dispute.

The Weakley Times is now reporting:

The deaths are believed to have occurred when a disagreement began between occupants of two duck blinds on the lake, which resulted in two occupants of one blind being shot and killed by an occupant of the other nearby duck blind.
District Attorney General Tommy Thomas says that law enforcement has a suspect that they are currently searching for in relation to the deadly shooting incident.
Thomas did not release the name of the suspect, but did say that the T.B.I. desires to interview the person.
It’s not clear if that person has been located at this hour.
The Weakley Times has received information that the suspect is likewise from Weakley County and a resident of Martin.
That individuals name will not be released until such time as the T.B.I. or Thomas makes the name public.

BREAKING: TWO MEN FOUND SHOT TO DEATH IN OBION COUNTY, TENNESSEE.

The TBI and Obion County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the shooting death of two men today on Reelfoot Lake in Obion County.
The 27th Judicial District Attorney General Tommy Thomas tells Thunderbolt Radio News that Chance Black and Zach Grooms suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
The D-A also confirms they do have a person of interest, but have not yet located the individual.

This is in far northwest Tennessee.
TWRA is also involved.
Was this some type of hunting incident?
Intentional?
Authorities have not said.
