I’ve tried to keep up with this project over the years and to be honest I never saw the actual purpose of it other than a big infrastructure project that lacks real long-term benefits. It’s main goal (my understanding) is to bring tar sands oil from Canada to refineries on the Gulf Coast. We already have a ton of pipelines without it. Tar sands is a very heavy oil that is not easily refined- let the Canadians refine their own junk oil. The Canadians simply want to shift the environmental burden to the US.
Yep, I've been to oil sands too many times, they can keep the oil tasting atmosphere they have created as far as I'm concerned.
