There's about 100 threads on here pontificating on what's about to happen after Biden gets sworn in but what's really going to happen? (poll):
A. Obama like administration (military becomes social experiment, bunch of gay/trans/victim appointments, American apologists, higher taxes, etc) but no loss of civil control, life goes on B. Single payer healthcare, gun control and everyone just shuts up and deals with it C. Straight Armageddon, full revolt, civil war before anything can get passed because people are so fed up D. The full gamut (Obama on steroids, single payer, gun control, loss of freedom of speech, pack the courts, abolish the electoral college, etc) and we still have a civil war E. Trump remains in office
I'll start the vote with a solid A

Yeah, I don't see that happening. Most likely "A", B wouldn't surprise me...C and D, nah, we as a people are too soft/weak for that. That ship sailed a long time ago

I also vote for A. Life will go on pretty much as normal, just higher taxes and fuel costs. Be careful what you post and say in public and you should be fine.

I can't believe the number of people who think Trump stays in office. Maybe it makes people feel better but it ain't happening.

E - Tin Foil Hat...engage!
A,B,C, & D will happen "IF" E doesn't happen. The civil war will be a total bust as the military will beat the people with a heavy hand.

A/B
Those folks that are convinced he holds office are the same IDOTs that thought he would win by a land slide.
Nothing is going to happen. People will learn to live with the changes and forget about it. Then they will come to sites like this one and biotch.

I thought about it and I honestly think that's the most logical thing that could happen. If you remember when Bill Clinton was in office, there were lots of Militias formed, and lots of black helicopter talk, etc... but in reality, not all that much changed and the economy went moving right along. Governments have it in their best interest to just keep all the sheep sort of moving slowly along in the general direction they want us to go. They don't want to upset the apple cart too much and risk having a full blown insurrection on their hands. This would help none of the World's major players. Some sort of major upheaval in the United States would disrupt the economy of the entire World. I honestly don't think any of the major players of the world want any part of that. It is for this same reason that Trump was so universally disliked by the powers that be. He was a loose cannon from outside the normal centers of power and influence. It was never imagined that he would win an election, and once in, he scared the Hell out of everyone who has long sought to maintain the status quo. Therefore this time, his defeat was ensured. They weren't taking any chances. Now they want nothing more than to get back to "normal." Normal being, the usual saber rattling and regional conflicts to keep the military industrial complex happy, throwing bones to various special interest groups to keep them quiet and inline, and for the rest of us, just slowly turning up the heat so we won't really notice the constant erosion of our civil liberties.

I think you are spot on. Any moderate Democratic Senator such as Joe Manchin carries the most power of anyone in D.C. for at least two years until the mid-terms.
