We are selling a few of those coaches homes at the moment. I can tell you that they don't get home until 10pm or later every day of the week except Sunday and Wednesday when they are home by 7pm. They're not just at the football complex hanging out and having fun, they're working hard the whole time. I imagine it would be a tough program to work in and only the true grinders stay with Saban for more than a couple years. He's got a list of at least 5 candidates for each position though so Bama will just reload and keep making it to the playoffs like normal.

I lived in Tuscaloosa obviously when I went to school down there. It’s your typical larger city.
I’ve also spent a lot of time in Auburn because my entire family graduated from there. Auburn is just a small Southern town.
There’s nearly double the amount of people in Tuscaloosa than Auburn, not to mention the surrounding cities and the campus is much more populated.
I guess it’s what you make it. I never had a problem in Tuscaloosa and had a great time.

If you live in AL you see sports news whether you want to or not. I haven’t watched a play of any game football nor hoops. But I see scores. You’d have to live in a coal mine 24/7 not to. I also click on the sports forum. So yea. There Einstein I see sports news. And for the record espn is the last place I’d get info from.

College programs are just play toys for wealthy boosters. . Sporting events are starting to get for the wealthy or those willing to shell out large amounts for a seat. Yes, you can find some less expensive seats, but in general, you have to pay to play. It doesn't matter if it is the pros or the colleges, money is what makes it go. How much did Auburn shell out for that new arena a few years ago? How much has Bama spent upgrading amenities for the players and redoing Bryant Denny? Wealthy billionaire owners want the cities gov., state gov., and local populations to foot the bill for their new stadiums. Exxon, Chevron, BP are going to make a lot more than the mom and pop service station. Walmart makes billions while the local folks are closing shop, why, people are going to Wally World, Sams, Costco for better deals. If Auburn, TN, SC, Ole Miss, etc. do not put a quality component on the field, people will go elsewhere. Don't believe me, how many 5 stars did Bama sign and how many did Auburn, Ole Miss, and TN sign?
