Stupid people do stupid things. Pulling a gun on someone or threatening someone with a gun about a deer is stupid, too. That's like saying you'd shoot someone for shooting a dog. A dog's life is worth more than spending part of your life in jail? That's insane.
Having a discussion about this buck in the woods might be a different story, though.
These guys don't care about lying about this deer. If they're low-life enough to steal someone else's deer they're not too concerned about telling lies to people about how they got it.
Also, if they're sorry enough to claim someone else's kill, they're prob carrying...you ready to die for a deer? If the deer was on public land...I agree with clem, who says its whos?
