Stayed up all night finding and dragging a deer outta Newmarket. Made it home just in time to take a shower and head to work. Had to drag him 500 yards up a mountain so we could get a 4 wheeler to him. Taking this evening/ tonight off to recoup

Nice!!!  Ours was still alive.......just clipped the brisket most likely. I knew that long haired guy that killed that big Oklahoma buck looked familiar......Now I remember why.

What does it cost to have y'all come out and track one? I need to give someone shooting a .243 an idea of how much it is about to cost because I'm not looking for another one..

243 is 1 of the best deer calibers made IMO.. If someone is losing deer with a 243 its more than likely an ammo issue..

I wouldn't know I can shoot a 12ga shotgun without any problems..... so there is no need for me to take that chance.

I get called out to track for a lot of .243's......probably one of the most common calibers. It does tend to be what a lot of kids are shooting too. I like a 30-06 but that's just me

i am not a statistic type person like Harold is but I do track lot of .243 and .270 for some reason. Also one guy is adamant that his .223 is the deer rifle of choice, but we track a good deal for him lol.
It isn't necessary to see a good tackle...you can hear it.

I’ll take my chances with a 243 over a 270. Had several buddies shooting 270 that could never find a blood trail.
