Drink some tonic water on your ride home. Make sure that the label says it has quinine in it.

Roadkill is correct, magnesium will be that ticket plus water will fix you up. Also keep some yellow mustard close to your bed if you have them in bed.

This!!!!! Works fast for me, add some lemon juice so you get hydrated and vitamin C, add some gin and if it doesn't work, you won't mind it as much.

Yes. You’re being more focused on quiet steps going in and out of hunting stands. Quads are worked harder being more precise/quiet with your steps vs normal gated walking.
And like mine, are not accustomed to “winter walking/stalking” vs summer “yard walking”. Riding a desk vs farm work I grew up on suk’s as far as fitness level goes! I just can’t get in the groove of throwing weights around inside a building.

ETA: I hunted with a guy that was a fitness buff and he told me that if you can girt out a cramp (generally 72 seconds) that it wouldn’t come back...that’s a lotta teeth gritting for 72 second in the midsts of a hard cramp!!

Sounds like you getting old😁. If you are not getting it from your food, take 2 potassium tablets 99mg a couple hours with extra water before you go or daily. Maybe another after returning. A liquid supplement drink and water throughout the hunt will help. Go easy on that pickle juice it has too much salt. It is hard to get the DA of potassium through food, but spinach has a good amount if you would rather eat that daily.

I did look up the Quinine option out of curiosity. Quinine may cause other adverse effects in tonic water for certain people if they drink it.

Its not good for some folks to sit for long, that's how some people throw a blood clot from being immobile for hours. Perhaps you need to go see a Dr.!

Try stalk hunting, instead of sitting.

Magnesium helps the Potassium work.

GF uses mustard to stop a cramp. Doesn't seem to help prevent one in her case. She gets them in her thighs due to some botched surgery. Stated taking the magnesium and them mostly quit happening. She gets them without any stress from use just laying down.

Stay hydrated and eat bananas ahead of time. Have pickle juice handy when you get cramps. Its amazing how quickly pickle juice works! Mustard helps too but pickle juice works better and quicker for me.

Had no idea they sold pickle juice as a sports drink until I saw it in Academy. Clerk said it was a hot item, especially for summer baseball season.
