Just curious what your hunting club rules are for antler size. Like age or width. I’ve been in a club for 18 years and wanted to see what other clubs are doing. Thanks

Im not a part of it but there's a club in Arley that has I think a 16 in main beam rule, and every buck after that one has to be bigger than the one before. Some times I guess that would be near impossible, but I get the idea

On paper state rules. Don’t think anything less than a good eight has been shot in three years. Gotta have the right members.

Has to have at least two of the four: 4” base, 18” beam, 7” tine, and 15” spread.

Mature bucks only. Mature bucks will have mature racks.

We shoot mountable bucks. We want them to be 14” wide 14” tall and 8 point or better. Of course if it’s a mature buck and for some reason isn’t 8 points you can still shoot it. But if the landowner doesn’t agree with its maturity, he will fine you 200$. No questions asked. And you might need to find another place if it is an egregious error or happens multiple times.
Well, the way I see it is there's just too many assholes On a good day there's a bunch of assholes in here. On a bad day there's too many assholes in here.

We don’t really have a rule because we don’t really need a rule. The others let deer go that I wouldn’t and I hold the lease with or without them so that’s how it works.

I like the combined 36" main beam length. Typically will put you at 3.5 year old buck. No, it's not the gospel but it is a good guide.

Got to be at least a 4 year old, doesn’t matter if it’s a 6 point or 12 point.

Got to be at least a 4 year old, doesn’t matter if it’s a 6 point or 12 point. This. Antler restrictions does nothing but high grade your bucks. You end up killing good 2.5 and 3.5yo bucks which leaves you with less desirable mature bucks. We have a new lease adjacent to Mullberry WMA. We have 4 mature bucks on camera. All 4 are big 6 points. They are cool looking deer and I would be happy with anyone of them but it’s not ideal.

We go by age only, no antler restrictions. By some of the restrictions that have been posted, this joker wouldn’t be legal. He was a 5 or 6yo. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/bY7DtRM3/E77329-C4-CCBB-499-F-ADB4-705-E35179-FED.jpg)

Not the same but the WMA I hunt requires 3 on one side. I passed on a 20 inch cow horn spike that was easily 175 pounds 3 years ago. I was worried the wardens would write me a ticket but I could have argued that he was easily 3.5 or older. One buck I regret not letting an arrow fly at. Rules are rules but sometimes common sense prevails.

Legal and what makes you happy. I have rules at work and don’t need them hunting.

Our goal is to shoot mature what we think are 4-5 year old or older deer. There are a lot of old bucks that don’t score much. We pass up a lot of what we think are really good 3-4 year olds that we never see again, but that is how it goes.
If you're gonna be stupid you better be tough.
