I picked one of the small flux welders from harbor freight yesterday. I have never welded and I need a pipe fitting ccrate/bin for my truck. Well, it's working really good for me. You can learn a lot from you tube to help you get started. Now, it looks like I did it but I think itll work out just fine. If anybody is needing a welder, these units work fine. My first welds looked very bad but when I wrapped up today, things looked alot better. This is opening up a whole new world to me.

I've welded Titanium once. It's a bit easier than Aluminum

My 11 yr old son has a Lincoln flux core welder he’s good on. I use it for light duty jobs. But to make anything strong you need a MIG welder.

After welding using the pulse style welders it's real hard to go back to a standard welder. I'm use to being able to move pretty quick. But I'm sure I can still lay a decent bead with a flux core welder

I have a cheap eastwood mig machine that I got to do some body work and I have been super pleased with it. I think it was like 300 bucks, then I bought a bottle too. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a light duty mig gun. Anything it won't handle my engine drive lincoln will handle

I used the little harbor freight flux core welder to weld up the square tubing frame of my new smokehouse. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s not my big Miller welder but did a fine job.

In our mill you have to be a coded welder to weld titanium for liability reasons,if it’s made out of titanium it’s holding some bad shucks,it doesn’t weld like other metals for sure

Here's a question. Why can you not weld ductile iron? Parts of the backhoe have this stamped on them. We did have one section welded but it only held for a month or so.
