Arrowhead is the launch in Mooresville. I put in at the old bridge which is further up and do quite well in limestone bay and the gravel pits for crappie. I can second the comment about the damn pulling water. Makes a huge difference. I do put in at arrowhead if I am catfishing. The run between the launch and the TN river is fantastic catfishing, if the damn is pulling. My personal best blue cat of 47 pounds came from there. We catch them from good size eaters to 20+ pounds there reliably, drifting in the kayak. I've seen several gators right there. One came right under a 10ft flat bottom and was glad it didn't turn over. Guy behind us saw it happen and was yelling "he's comin in the boat...he's comin in the boat". Where are these gravel pits? I don't think I know about them. Where are they from Arrowhead?

![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/PItNNW4.jpg) Ive seen gators all over. Heard some of the biggest were up in the gravel pit part. Saw 5 little uns sunning on a log up there back in the late 90's.

Gman, is Arrowhead on that map? I don't know what area is called Arrowhead. I never fish over that way.

Theres actually 3 creeks spilling in there...piney, limestone and beaver dam. I think its was in 95, really cool spring with a lotta rain. Water was all up in the fields and so were the bass. I remember it being mid to late june and the high was a cloudy 61. Had to wear a jacket. Throwing hank parker spinner baits. Bet we caught 100. Talked to another old timer that was wade fishing the buck bushes and had a good stringer of crappie on his belt. Jerked it thinking it was hung on a bush n it jerked back hard. Looked over his shoulder and it was a 6’ gator wanting some crappie.
