Arrowhead is the launch in Mooresville. I put in at the old bridge which is further up and do quite well in limestone bay and the gravel pits for crappie. I can second the comment about the damn pulling water. Makes a huge difference. I do put in at arrowhead if I am catfishing. The run between the launch and the TN river is fantastic catfishing, if the damn is pulling. My personal best blue cat of 47 pounds came from there. We catch them from good size eaters to 20+ pounds there reliably, drifting in the kayak.



I've seen several gators right there. One came right under a 10ft flat bottom and was glad it didn't turn over. Guy behind us saw it happen and was yelling "he's comin in the boat...he's comin in the boat".
Where are these gravel pits? I don't think I know about them. Where are they from Arrowhead?
