Trying to find a spot closer to home than driving all the way to guntersville from north of Athens. Anyone know any spots to try from the bank?

I don't know about from the bank but I see guys posting about Limestone creek all the time on a crappie fishing forum I'm on.

Every bit of limestone creek. Sometimes on the stump flats, sometimes in the buck bushes and sometimes in the wood of the channel. Just depends. Had a buddy knock about 20 out the other day in 1 of the feeder creeks. Took him about 30 minutes...then they quit pullin water and it was like a switch flipped.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

Arrowhead is the launch in Mooresville. I put in at the old bridge which is further up and do quite well in limestone bay and the gravel pits for crappie. I can second the comment about the damn pulling water. Makes a huge difference. I do put in at arrowhead if I am catfishing. The run between the launch and the TN river is fantastic catfishing, if the damn is pulling. My personal best blue cat of 47 pounds came from there. We catch them from good size eaters to 20+ pounds there reliably, drifting in the kayak.

Trying to find a spot closer to home than driving all the way to guntersville from north of Athens. Anyone know any spots to try from the bank? Go to the Crappie.com and click on the alabama section. There are lots of post on limestone creek-arrow head. This is a good one showing the upper limestone creek https://www.crappie.com/crappie/alabama/415237-limestone-bay-gravel-pits/

I didn't see that post on crappie.com. I was MIA until the weather cooled off. If you're a crappie fisherman, you need to join that forum. If you're a Yak fisherman, read every one of Ditch Basser's posts. He's a crappie slayer.

From what I've read of his post over the last few years DB could catch a crappie out of the tank on the back of the toilet. He catches them like I wish I could.

I’m on Crappie.com under username BankBound. As the name suggests, I fish exclusively from the bank. Haven’t made it over to Limestone Creek yet but read lots of great things about it.
