ask about something you have listed for sale, ask for more pictures, more details, more info...and when you make the effort to GET the information, details and pictures, then it's crickets.

where is the GD common courtesy to say, hey man, I'm not really interested, thank you.

rant over.

The best is when someone makes an offer or buy something, and you say ok, and the reply from them turns to ‘I need to check on a few things first.’ What a crock of crap. Don’t make an offer to buy if you’re not ready or don’t have the money.

They forgot to get permission from the old lady before they made the offer. grin

Never had a deal go bad, everyone pretty much kept their word. Few folks will ask for pics and never respond on some things.

Just an observation, but it’s the the younger generations that mostly exhibit this behavior. They don’t know how to buy anything. The art of negotiation and deal making along with the associated courtesy which is conveyed during such transactions is lost. Sad.

Bad parenting is plaguing this country. Unfortunately it’s probably only going to get worse.

I know of a deal that you made one time that worked out beyond great for the receiver!

That fella was blessed by that deal more than words can describe.

Merry Christmas to you and your family Bob!

As for the original thread, common courtesy is gone all throughout our world today.

So sad.

What is even better is when someone asks you to buy something for them and then afterwards decides they dont want/need it.

How about when you tell them you're the first one to say you will take it and the seller doesn't have the courtesy to follow through. Yeah, that happens here also! Used to be a man's word was his bond. Sadly, not anymore.
