I’ve had this smoker since 2015 and had been working well up until early this year. Now it trips my GFI outlet whenever I try to turn it on, and it’s definitely an issue with the smoker’s electronics because I’ve had the outlet inspected and can use other tools in the outlet with no issue. I’m going to be buying a new charcoal smoker soon and need to get this one gone, I don’t want to fool with it. If anyone wants it to tinker on, PM me and it’s yours at no cost. You’ll have to contact Masterbuilt’s customer service to get the replacement parts needed, I don’t have them.

Mine is doing the same. Replaced the GFI and it worked for a while, now its doing it again. Problem is, mine has been used less than 5 times. Strange.

Yeah I replaced the element once in it about 3 years ago, that may be the problem now, but when it went out then the smoker would turn on and then shut off in the middle of cooking. Now it beeps once when you press the power button and it trips the outlet. As I mentioned though I’m moving on to a new smoker and didn’t feel right asking someone to pay for it knowing they would have to spend $ to fix it. TRLRDave will get it solved I’m confident
