I initially went with a fixed 3X on mine. It totally sucked for testing loads at 100 yards. Not enough magnification.

So, I upgraded to a 2-7x32 Nikon BDC for the .300BLK. It's been a good scope so far. High enough magnification for longer distances but able to dial down to 2x if the action is close. But, Nikon has discontinued their scope line.

The Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32 Riflescope would be similar. Optics Planet has those.

EDIT... I've killed 4 deer so far with the .300BLK and a couple were in low light conditions. That 32mm objective is plenty good for light transmission at the lower magnifications. I usually keep mine on 3X
