I like a variety of whiskeys and bourbons and I normally have 3-4 bottles around the house.

That being said my "house" bourbon is Larceny. It is about the best bourbon I've had for the money and frankly I like it better than some of the more expensive bottles I have had.

Old Forester or Bulleit for my every day. Blantons, EC, or several other small batch single barrel stuff in the cabinet for sipping something nice.

I got Old Bathtub based on one of calls recs and it's terrible. It tastes like kerosene.

Larceny as far as something that is readily available. I would rank EH Taylor over Eagle Rare for my next 2 picks but they are not always easy to find. Weller 107 is good, but pretty rare to find at the state store, and I'm not paying a pile of money for it marked up at a package store.

I’ve also been trying some Irish whiskey, monkey shoulder is really good.
I have a Whistle Pig Rye coming from a buddy later this week, just a 6 year. We shall see...
Old grandad bonded and OG114 is pretty good.
For the money, 1792 and wild turkey is hard to beat.

If you want a good Irish Whiskey, try The Sexton

OP asked what is your daily/utility bourbon. You guys are naming off stuff that you'd have a better off chance banging Kate Upton than finding that bottle in an Alabama liquor store. grin

It would be BT or ER if I could find it regularly, so its usually OF 86

HOLY CHIT that is cheap!
I had a bottle of Eagle Rare..........................................gone

Correction...$85 for the lot

Elijah Craig Small Batch was $40 (for a handle)
Woodford Reserve was $20 (fifth)
Eagle Rare was $25 (fifth)

A shot of good shot of tequila and a couple tokes and I'm good, the heck with that rock gut.

Been just over a year since I had a drink but if I decide to in the near future it’ll be Clyde Mays single barrel bourbon
