i have several serious hobbies: photography. bushcrafting. spoon carving. knife building. hunting. leather working. motorcycle.
some of the forums to which i belong relating to these things have slowed considerably. i think that because of the political/pandemic miasma, many people are turning introspective, and simply are not "sharing" as heavily as they formerly did.

meh precisely describes the miasma.
doesn't bother me. i am saved and utterly content; ergo, immune to such.
bird, i might post some at some point. i'll have to shoot and or transfer some photos and upload to flick'r. most of my leather work is simple, saami-style back-sewn knife sheaths, to fit the knives i build from swedish and finnish blades. i build for fun, not for selling. same for spoons, most of which i give to relatives and friends. no building or carving for me right now: broken left wrist (distal radius breakage, and damage to tendons and ligaments in my hand, which is my strong hand).

Perch - I've noticed it myself. I think people are just tired and need a break. Speaking for myself - I believe the majority of people have good intentions and want to do what is right and fair, but we are bombarded with craziness day-in and day-out. I attempt to keep my sanity by just not watching or reading the news, I suppose that ignorance is bliss.
