I was on the water at daylight. Had a decent morning. The crappie were biting but very subtly. I caught 10 and had 3 break off on the hook set. All good uns.

I caught a few. Lost some really nice ones and threw a few back. Stayed inside the canoe this time so it was a lot of fun for a 1.5 hour trip. I had a bite on almost every cast, sometimes two and three. They would only hit a tiny trout plug with the smallest trebles so all the really big ones pulled off. They were busting shad they had cornered up in a cove.

I haven't done that in a long time and did it once yesterday and three times today. I think I got some 2# line mixed in with my 4#. I backed way off my drag and quit snapping line.
