I’ve never laid hands on the EH3 but that’s a good looking stock. Specs on it look good too. I prefer the EH6. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/O0wWDVc.jpg) Looks like you shot the bark off that tree. Looks like a great rifle. Don't leave us hangin, tell us more about that weapon of mass destruction.

It’s a Defiance Deviant Ultralight Hunter action, Bartlein barrel spiral fluted, chambered in 6.5cm so it has no drop over 1000 yards and kills anything in sight even if I miss (that’s the selling point, right?). It is in a Manners EH6 BDL mini-chassis stock. If I had it to do over again I would get the non-adjustable cheek to save a little more weight. In this pic it is mounted to a Really Right Stuff TVC34L with BH-55 ballhead, via an arca clamp on the front picatinny rail (which is there only to have a bipod as an option which I never use except to sight it in). The scope is an Athlon Cronus BTR, which I like very much but I plan to replace and use on a different setup to cut some weight. My original goal was to build a lightweight rifle and then I fattened it up with mission creep (adjustable cheek and heavy scope mainly).

That’s a nice looking rifle you got there Cynical. How has that Defiance action treated you?
Love it. It’s the deviant ultralight hunter and they mostly hit a home run. The only improvement is coming soon (or maybe they’ve started it now?) when Defiance gets their machines dialed in so barrels will be prefit shouldered barrels and won’t need to be individually headspaced when chambered. Prefits are so much nicer to deal with from an end-user or prosumer perspective. It’s the reason I went to Impact actions on the more recent rifles I’ve built.

I agree with the others. I prefer the bell and carlson stocks for the money.
