Got up at 1:30 a.m. checked the SPYPOINT and had a decent buck at a greenfield. Changed my mind about where I was going and he walked back in at 6:08, decent 9 pt at major feeding time.

Got off at 3. Back at the cabin and just finished a little project. Fixing to sit on the front porch and pop a top in a few minutes with my gun in the rocker next to mine. Quick hunt in the morning before church. Be the last for me for awhile.

Hunting a buddy’s place in Union Springs. Saw about 30 deer today but only 2 bucks.. They don’t shoot does and I can tell!!

Terribly slow opening day afternoon. We have the family together at the farm and had about 12 people in the woods. No one killed one, and I didn’t hear a single shot all afternoon, and it usually sounds like a war out here

Was slow around us as well. Heard only a few shots. All of us saw some deer. but it seemed slow for the opener as far as shots go.

Very few shots for an opening morning in the prv. And my shot on the yote was the only one i heard fired yestidy afternoon. Mighta heard 2 this am. Weird opening weekend.
