Pretty good day at the homestead. We are so fortunate to have been able to just move up here when all of the Covid-19 stuff happen and then to realize that our companies would just let us work from up here long term.

I've been the Civil Lead for over 85 projects this year alone and have managed those projects (so far at least) successfully. So I believe that trend will continue, hopefully until I retire in a few years and do more of the kinds of stuff that I really want to do with what's left of my life.

Fast forward to today... We are taking more steps toward making a sustainable life up here on the homestead. Mrs. Irish spent a good bit of the day splitting up kindling and I worked on building the beginnings of a no till, set of raised bed "square foot" gardens. Fun homesteading type stuff. Then I was able to head up the forest service road to my buddy's place and enjoy a glass of Wild Turkey 101 and a nice cigar with a couple fo my best buddies by a nice fire. It's doesn't get much better than that.
