My daughter shot her first deer. Around a 100lb doe. Took her a few times to pull the trigger. She took out both lungs and the deer piled up about 80 yards away. It was awesome to watch her knees start knocking and get the shakes. Awesome!!! Congrats to the both of you

I let my daughter try a really nice 8 pt at 236 yds. She said she was steady but afraid she shot low. Looked all over no sign of hit. Rut is on Up our way. He came out at 4:15 chased does til she shot at 4:50. Mature 8. He scent checked. Worked scrapes and dogged the same doe hard. Our woods are torn up. Maybe another one will show up toMorrow pm.

My boy got it done this afternoon. It was his first time pulling the trigger at anything other than paper or steel. The 4 point dropped in it's tracks.
I asked him a few minutes ago if he wanted to wash the blood off his face...."No, I wanna wait until mom gets home and she see's it".
It's been a great day!
I almost forgot...The gun he used to kill his first deer is the same gun myself and my dad used to kill our first deer.
