I got a situation I need help with. I have a buck rubbing everything from half inch saplings up to 4 inch diameter hardwoods. Acorns are raining in this hole. Last sunday he moved through there between 11 and 2 in the afternoon. I know this because I left at that time and when I got back there was a fresh rub 17 yards from my stand. How often can I hunt this spot without compromising it to scent and spooking what I think is a bow buck of a lifetime?

I never hunt a buck at his food source, see if you can find his rub line and back track it to determine his bedding area. If you find where he is bedding wait for the perfect wind and slip in as close as you can early in the afternoon.
If my life was any better i'd have to hire someone to help me enjoy it!

i hunted the same buck all year and finally got him toward the end of season. i took a climber and bounced up and down his rub-line an different spots until we got to meet. keep on the move so he doesn't pin-point your spots exactly...

Haven't been in to hunt him since last sunday. Its 9 am I just got in the tree. Yall wish me luck. Looking for my first bow kill and signs point to this being a nice one
