Impossible to answer without knowing budget and intended use.

With that budget, there's a ton of great scopes out there. Nightforce, Swaro, Zeiss, S&B..........all will be great. Choose the one that has the features you want. Size, weight, magnification range, reticle, FFP v SFP. I've got a Swaro Z6, 3-18x50.......awesome scope.

If you are going full budget you want a Schmidt & Bender.
How far have you been practicing shooting? A $2500 S&B is probably going to be a bit excessive for a couple hundred yard shot or a several hundred yard miss..... if you haven't been practicing.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

Depends on how far you are gonna be shooting. 0-300 you could use any good scope and use a MPBR zero. If you want to dial for distance then Nightforce, S&B, Burris XTR, etc. I’m not a fan of the Swarovski target turrets.

I have a night force SHV. Favorite scope by far. Runs about 1400$. If you are a veteran, you can get special pricing that will knock around 20% off. Contact them directly.
