A few million, like $2 or $3 million? Invest, maybe buy some land in Kansas or Oklahoma, probably keep doing what I'm doing. Wouldn't be enough to change too many things.
At least $10 million or more? I'd invest, retire and be done.

First thing, keep it a secret. If invested in 3% bonds that's $30,000 for every $1m. And 2.5%ish of that would be lost to inflation...

And then you'd lose a large portion of your principle when a ton of these municiplaites and state issued bonds that make up a large portion of bond funds go into default, and they are forced to file bankruptcy in the near future due to loss of tax revenue due to Covid shutdowns, non-renewals on leased property, falling commercial property values, underfunded pensions and other unfunded liabilities and the overall general fiscal irresponsibility of their mostly democrat leaders over the last 20-40 years. Pelosi has been pushing for $2 trillion to bail out these Dem run cities and states and that's what Trump and the senate have refused to do. It's coming, wait and watch.

That $30,000 is just added gravy to my current retirement plan. And I would never invest in Muni's. It would be spread across dividend stocks and corporate bonds. Pay off debt. Give to church. Pay for my kids & my nieces college. Buy some wooded acreage that backs up to a fishable river somewhere. Put the rest up. Get up & go to work the next day.

I’d try my best to live off the interest minus 3% for inflation, and quit work. I don’t have any grand plans other than to do what I want to do when I want to do it.
