"Buy back the assault weapons and high-capacity magazines already in our communities. Biden will also institute a program to buy back weapons of war currently on our streets. This will give individuals who now possess assault weapons or high-capacity magazines two options: sell the weapons to the government, or register them under the National Firearms Act."

You would either have to pay the $200 tax stamp on each "assault weapon" (what ever that may mean at the time, could be a 10/22 for all I know) and register it under the NFA or sell it to the government.

So your options would be 'registration' or 'sell it to the government'.

Which equals confiscation to a hell of a lot of red blooded Americans.

Plus he will use the IRS in implementing any fines and collections for their registration confiscation plan. It WILL HAPPEN if this stupidoldbastard is elected.

Australia and other countries started by registering guns before they started confiscation. It's the first step to taking your rights.

I think what we'll see is them regulating/taxing them to death, piece by piece. Expanding NFA, taxing guns/ammo until the average joe simply can't afford it or make it so much of a headache most just say to hell with it.

Honestly, I think that's a lot more scary than trying to implement an outright confiscation, because a lot of folks will just shrug and say "oh well"....and they'll get away with it a lot more easily than they would trying to take them all up

I don't think you'll ever see them try to go full-confiscation...at least not in my or your lifetime. I think what we'll see is them regulating/taxing them to death, piece by piece. I agree with your thought process on how the left will slowly chip away at gun ownership by taxes and restrictions. You can keep your guns but overall gun ownership will start to decrease.

I would have to give the federal govt a big F**U on paying a $200 tax stamp on my firearms. So now only the rich can keep their guns, but Democrats are supposed to be the party of the working man. :-)

I may spin this off to another post... but if a gun malfunctions then they should be liable and be sued like any other company. But if some idiot shoots up the local Home Depot, that's on them. Gun manufactures should be exempt from being responsible.... we need to keep this law.

The liberals always have a plan. Their plan is to eliminate the 2nd Amendment and confiscate any and all your weapons. They will take your shotgun after they take your AR-15.

That plan begins with registration so that they know who's got what.

Their goal is to eliminate private ownership of firearms. Whatever Joe has on his website is a dam lie. If you believe the Democrats don't want to take anything from you they just want you to register it so they can.... do what?

Who's having trouble connecting those dots? If you are.... then get in line with the rest of the sheep over to your left. .

“Sleepy Joe” ain’t the problem. He’s only a placeholder for a planned agenda run by an entire group of the ruling class. The office of “President” hasn’t been a ruling position for at least a half century now, actually since the world banker’s get-together on Jekyll Island, GA in 1910 or so when the money supply was taken over by a private corporation. Yes, there are some important decisions that requires the President’s input, like SCOTUS appointments and the like, but all this noise nowadays is just a front to keep us occupied and our eye off the ball. We’ve been enslaved for many years now, with it now taking all that two incomes can scrape together.

They can register my AR or confiscate it when they pull it from my cold dead hands. A few years back, a good friend of mine who was a police officer asked me what I was gonna do when they told him that he had to come to my house and take my guns. I simply suggested to him that he not be the one who showed up to try it.

By that thinking, then all of the auto manufacturers, knife makers, drug companies and everyone who makes any product that ends up as the primary cause of death should be civilly liable as well. I can see it now, " Eastwing is being sued for the use of one of their hammers in the bludgeoning death of......."

Absolutely assinine. An inanimate object or the maker of said inanimate object cannot be held responsible for any persons use or misuse of said object. Bunch of damn liberal bullchit!

I'd have responded: "No, what are YOU going to do when they tell YOU that YOU have to come to my house and take my guns?" I've said before and I'll repeat it.....I think a lot of people would be surprised just how many LEO/Military people think only they should be allowed to have guns and are perfectly fine with the idea of the average Joe losing his right to own firearms.
