Speak for yourself dude, I wouldn't shoot either one. I've passed a bunch better than either one of those. I don't kill if I'm not shoulder mounting them, I ain't spending $400 on either one of those.


I've killed a bunch that were better than both of these deer. I've also killed more than a bunch that were smaller than these deer. I'm also not so righteous that I only kill a deer to mount. I shoot what makes me happy, glad you do the same.

My whole point, what most people say they do is different than what they actually do when they're in the woods.


99% is painting with a pretty broad brush. There's plenty of brown, it's downers here I'm sure but there's quite a few accomplished hunters here too. Different strokes for different folks. I'm 73 yrs old and I've killed enough deer to fill up a box car or 2. I don't kill them just to be killing them. At my stage of hunting, there's a lot more to hunting than whacking a deer. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone on that. On our lease, you kill a buck, you mount it. If you like it, kill it and take it to the taxidermist. Kill too many young bucks, find another place to hunt
