I think it's a good idea too. I would prefer to see the hooks of lost fish (and the chicken poopy released toothy stuff) rust out. Need to put a little menhadden oil in with some regular oil to swab the hooks with or you'll have a rusted together mass on the boat. Have to check the gear more often.
