Yea,but I was trying to make a point before. Let me try again. The reason you think that way and most of us here think that way is because the only negative interaction we ever have with the police is to get a traffic ticket. If you had other reason for the police to be interacting with you it might not seem so cut and dry.

Suppose you get in a fight with someone,or maybe you are drunk and disorderly. Maybe you are just pissed off about having to wear a mask. Suppose you are mad and going to give the officer a piece of your mind for acting like a Nazi. It doesn't matter. Whatever happens,for some reason you get tased or sprayed and you make the mistake of yelling and moving around too fast and wind up shot. Yea,maybe you should have layed down spread eagle on the ground and you wouldn't have got shot for resisting.

The important thing though is to ask yourself if you want the enforcers to have the power to end lives so casually and the excuse is the SOB should have done what he was told. There should always only be one excuse for shooting someone,he was going to kill me or someone else if I didn't.

If we start using the "He should have complied." statement we are headed down the road to oppression of our own making.
