Of course they say Biden came across as competent. He fumbled a good 30 times on trying to find the right word or sentence from what I saw.

Are any of y’all familiar with the proud boys?

President Trump said “proud boys, stand back and standby”

What does that mean?

Dana Perino hit it on the head, she said a couple of times Joe was about to fumble on the 1 yard line and Trump butted in .

Did this debate excite the Trump base? Nope. That's the problem.

I’m sorry but I simply can’t believe there is an honest, legitimate population of undecided voters who before tonight couldn’t figure out if they liked Trump or Joe Biden.

And I truly don’t understand what all those who are disappointed in Trump’s behavior tonight were expecting from him?? He’s always been this person and it is THE REASON he was elected in 2016. He is the opposite of these fake, pretentious politicians and media types that have ran this country into the ground for the last 30 years.

If you think 330 million people don't have some undecided voters, then you need to step back, relax and think again. I have never called the man anything but a buffoon and it's sad for many reasons. It would be nice to see competence, character and class. Trump has none of those but his people do. We just have to do the best we can with what we have to work with. Look to Switzerland for guidance when in doubt.

In general the independent or undecided voters are considered to be politically moderate. The two choices in this election are extremely different their platforms and policies. But you’re right, I’m probably giving the general voting population way too much credit in matters of intelligence and decision making.

Trump hurt himself in a lot of cases. He had opportunities for kill shots on most issues but was so wound up and off on a tangent that he forgot to pull the trigger. That said, anytime that Trump did have Biden on the ropes, Wallace jumped in and changed the topic and helped
Biden escape the finishing blow. Was it just me or did you guys notice Biden looking down and directly reading his answers? Topics were released but the actual questions supposedly were not and it was almost as if Biden had the answers to the exact questions written in front on him. On Covid, Trump should have yielded his time and said, Joe, you have my time, tell the nation your plan and how it differs from what we have done. Biden would have choked.

If I ran the Trump campaign, I’d run that little blurb of Joe saying there won’t be another coal or oil fired plant in this country. There’s a bunch of union guys in PA that I figure might change their vote on that one.

Overall tonight was the shitshow I thought it would be. If nothing else this sent a lot more fence sitters toward a third party I’d hope... not that I think there are very many fence sitters at this point.

I'll agree that there are far fewer than 20 years ago. Trump won in 2016 because he got enough blue dog democrats in the rust belt to vote for h to swing those states his way. Nothing he has done tonight will help him keep those critical votes.

Do you think there’s any significant number of people that voted Trump in 2016 but won’t vote for him in 2020? I just don’t see it. If anything, I think there are some folks that didn’t vote for him in 2016 but have been pleasantly surprised with some of his actions the last 4 yrs.

This is the segment ^^. Anyone who voted for him before is going to again. Blexit is a real thing and is generating huge numbers, middle of the road folks who could go either way are probably 15 percent. That's enough to sway an election either way. If he could reel that mouth in and engage what brain he has, Biden will gaff himself to death and he can feast on the remains.

People said the same thing 4 years ago about his mouth. If ya’ll want a career politician that will sit there and tell everyone they get rainbows and puppies, vote for Biden. If you want someone who clearly and honestly cares about our Country vote Trump.

Biden called Trump a clown, a racist and several other names throughout the night....but no one wants to call that out. Trump has gained popularity in the black community, Latino community and has a ton of excitement around him in Florida and the Other swing states. I think he’ll be ok.

Trump is a tough guy. Biden wants to be a tough guy.

They will. The Trump camp wanted Joe to uncontrollably spout off at the mouth. He did and He was caught in several lies and will get exposed on it buy the Trump campaign/marketing team when they target those demographics in those particular areas.

Absolutely, the base is hot but the debate (in and of itself) just didn't do anything to keep it that way and certainly didn't make it hotter.

I agree, so many times Trump could have Joe starring at the ceiling but he couldnt control himself.
