Anybody in Southern Illinois (or just got back) see any chasing yet? To the guys who hunt there regularly, do yall think they will be chasing next weekend?

Whereabouts do y'all hunt up there?
I just got back from Carbondale and Murphysboro at Kinkaid Lake on a fishing trip. Beautiful area.

Rain really has the crop harvest jacked up. Farmers are way behind picking. Temps are cool and the little ones are starting to get interested in the females. It should blow up here in the next week or so. My buddy shot a little doe (120lb) last weekend in the morning that had a shooter buck with her. Buck busted my buddy and the doe for what ever reason ran at him instead of away. 30 yard poke and it was over. For the evening hunt I had a P&Y buck come through on a run at 20 yards. Never knew I was there nor was he stopping for any reason. I think the kids arcoss the river pushed him on through. My buddy passed on a 110 inch 8pt.

I am heading up to Adams county on Wednesday I will let you know. As posted already our crops are still in the field due to rain, so I don't know what that is going to do to us but I hope it won't hurt us too much. I kind of hope it gets harvested while I am there.

Todd1700 and I are heading up to Pike Co. in about in about 74 hours!  I hope things get crazy up there. The weather is looking good for our week, just hope it holds out!!!

Weekend temps forecasted for Highs in the 60's and 40's at night. Saturday morning should be awsome. Bucks are seeking. If the rain holds off the crops should start coming out this weekend or early next week. If you have IL tags, it's time to be in the woods. The next to weeks should be some of the finest hunting of the year.

Talked to our farmer tonight and he was wide open picking. Where I'm at, they had 3 inches of new rain over the weekend. If the crops are coming out, then you should be golden this weekend.
