Never too late. Even though I really enjoy my job and I am lucky to be where I am. I actively work to advance myself. My current work has allowed me to take a leadership class, pick up extra responsibilities in order to progress myself and my bosses are supporting me and know my long term goals (10 years). Check out colonel sanders story from KFC. He didn't start in the chicken business until after his 50's. Have a very clear picture of where you want to be, whether it is an income level, type of job, etc. and take the steps today to get there. I tell my kids, "do something today your future self will be proud of".
