That's why Trump should nominate a replacement and get that person confirmed before the election. The High Court may have a say in who the president is if there's not a clear winner on November 3. Stakes don't get any higher than this.

It’s President Trump’s decision who will be the next SCJ. Like the messiah of left said just a few short years ago “elections have consequences.” But it’s also the lefts fault that unelected officials like Supreme Court Justice’s have so much power.

Not trying to crash the party here but no way another justice gets confirmed before Inauguration Day. Not gonna happen. Too many Republicans that will object to it. Didn’t happen when the last election was in full swing, won’t happen now. This just upped the ante for all that’s been going on though. It’s very likely to get crazy all the way until the first of the year. Makes me really damn glad I’ll be out of an urban area in less than a month. Could be looking at a highly contested election/brokered convention with a tie in the Supreme Court. I’m very likely overlooking some procedural things here but if the election comes down to it we may be looking at the House of Representatives going to state delegations to decide the election (Mark Levin has laid this out previously and it should be on youtube now). Votes for your members of the house just became a lot more important if this scenario plays out. Even then I’m not sure how it’ll play out in real time in the streets.

didnt happen last election cycle because republicans controlled the senate just like we do now. i agree its unlikely to happen but the senate can confirm after November elections even if the dems take the senate and the presidency they have until the end of january to complete their term and I hope to God they push it thru under those circumstances as one last going away F you

McConnell is the Senate Chess master , he'll take a head count , if the votes are there and the Prez wants to nominate someone it'll go forward. Ultra high stakes chess.

As long as we don't have another Judge Roberts pick, all should be good. That was a republican pick that was poor judgment.

Ted Cruz got recent support from Trump as a nominee. He'd be a damn good one. I hope Trump shoves it down their throat regardless of who it is, but I'd be shocked if he pulled it off. RIP to the bionic Justice Ginsburg.

ill take another Roberts over any Biden pick without even seeing his list. Hes already said his appointment would be an African American woman we all know what that means another antiamerican activist justice Imagine if Trump declared the next appointment would be a Caucasian Male heads would explode even though its no more racist and sexist than Bidens comments on the same subject.

He had several good candidates to choose from when he gave us Roberts 2 0 in Kavanaugh. I don't expect much better this go around. It'll be 100x better than we'd get from a Democrat but the days of getting a Clarence Thomas or Antoine Scalia are long gone.

Ted Cruz can't be the pick because we need his vote for whomever Trump nominates.

Trump will at least put forth a nominee before the election. We'll vote on a Prez and a justice . He'll force Biden to show his hand on who he'd nominate . Rides gonna get bumpy, keep your hands inside at all times.

I think it could backfire if he pushes one thru but its almost like what do we have to lose at this point...the chaos ahead is coming anyway
