I'm stuck in Hell Paso, Tx for the next few days. If needed, I'm headed down to the Lafayette area with a track loader and chainsaw come Sun-Mon. Wish I could get there sooner,but stuck inTX til then.

Well I couldn’t stand it no more and went out to check on things. By the grace of God I didn’t see and damage to the homes I went and checked on. Our little family neighborhood is fine. Lots of tree damage and damage to sheds. Thank y’all some much for all the prayers. They sure worked for us. We are gonna be just fine. May God bless this whole ALDEER community.

Pretty good breeze out right now. From what I can see there won’t be many branches left on my buddy’s trees. I want to go outside but I have quite a bit of wind resistance and I’m afraid it might take me away.  We are still having 70-80mph gusts. The sustained winds seem to be slowing down some. Still a long time till daylight. I’m getting anxious to check on my place. I’m praying it’s still there. Glad you're doing as well as can be hoped for, Marsh.

Great news Marsh. Just saw on weather channel chart the girl was talking about that the storm surge at lake Charles was 4.5’. If that’s the case, hopefully the flooding was not widespread and not nearly as bad as predicted.

We were supposed to be headed to Lafeyette this morning. 16 (linemen) myself and another engineer. They let us know early this morning damage wasn’t near as bad as expected. Hope everyone over that way is ok. Should know mid morning if any other utilities need assistance.
