Crap - she's already a major and strengthening should occur through the day. She'll probably be a very strong 4 or 5 when she comes in. Flooding is already happening. I would get out of the way if I could.

Amazing that she spun up as quickly as she did, especially considering that Marco just came through the exact same area of the gulf 24 hrs earlier and there was enough sheer there Monday and Tuesday to kill Marco and basically turn him into a thunderstorm. Laura's gonna be a real bad one for those low-lying areas there just east of the Tx/La line.
