For those still thinking about a .410 for a kid or toting themselves, here's what I found the patterns to look like: 40 yds, 10" and 20" circles, 370NM loaded with 9x10.25, 90 deg summertime temps Indian Creek .390 ![[Linked Image]](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200815/beb556d98359a2e5bf48a7cc30b76d5a.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200815/812aa1b0fd435582208407e6106597fb.jpg) Factory EF ![[Linked Image]](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200713/eca1ebaa7894123e1e915028d24c6033.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200713/c7d5f94596d87e64f402763879131ea5.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200713/37f26677328917860f1b24b44d3b6c87.jpg)

Great pattern at that range with that gun! You got a red dot or just the bead?

I'm gonna have to give mine a try. I've been toting it as a varmint dispatcher. It's wicked with the factory choke and 3" #6s.

What’s the shot count (per ounce) on those 10.25’s, Hal?

What’s the shot count (per ounce) on those 10.25’s, Hal? Around 600/oz - giving 1.25" ball. gel. penetration out to 47 yds or so....

Nice, I love the one I got my boys. It's fun to shoot

Getting good results on animals? I’m still loading 9.5’s in .410, have me a custom short-barrel 301 totally setup, and it is giving me plenty of pattern density to 45 yards so I had sorta considered the project done. Always looking to tinker though it seems! Thanks in advance sir!

Always looking to tinker though it seems! Thanks in advance sir! I am. I killed a couple with that load in 2020, one at 47 yds, one at 38 yds. The jury is still out on what is best for the .410, but I tend to lean towards maximizing pattern density out to the point where the shot maxes out on energy. On paper, generally speaking, I'd say 10s are about optimal for the .410.
